NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (2006)

Sebagai seorang ayah yang ingin membuat putranya bangga, Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) selalu berkhayal memperoleh dan mengalami sesuatu yang luar biasa, meski bisa dibilang Larry selalu gagal mencapai sukses dalam berkarir. Terlebih sejak Larry bercerai dari istrinya Erica (Kim Raver), persaingan merebut perhatian putranya Nick (Jake Cherry) menjadi ambisi utamanya.

Sampai suatu saat Larry menerima pekerjaan sebagai seorang satpam di Museum of Natural History, yang diyakininya bisa memperbaiki hubungannya dengan Nick. Saat tiba pertama kali di Museum, Larry disambut pegawai musem yang cantik Rebecca (Carla Gugino). Rebecca mengajak Larry berkeliling museum dan mengenalkan artifak dan benda-benda bersejarah lain yang harus dihapal dan dimengerti Larry. Rebecca juga mengenalkan Larry pada Mr. McPhee (Ricky Gervais), kepala museum yang dikenal disiplin, rapi, teratur dan sangat membenci keonaran, bahkan tak segan memecat pegawainya yang teledor dan terbukti menyebabkan kerugian dan kerusakan benda-benda musium.

Larry juga berkenalan dengan para satpam, sayang kedatangan Larry tak mendapat respon bagus dari Cecil (Dick Van Dyke), Gus (Mickey Rooney), dan Reginald (Bill Cobbs), pasalnya Larry dipekerjakan untuk menggantikan mereka. Sebelum pergi, Cecil sempat memberi Larry nasihat dan sebuah buku petunjuk cara 'aman' menjaga museum dan kata-kata penuh tekanan: 'don't let anything IN OR OUT OF THE MUSEUM!!'. Sayang Larry memandang remeh nasihat Cecil. Ketika malam menjelang di malam pertama dia bekerja, seluruh penghuni museum yang didominasi tokoh dan benda-benda bersejarah hidup secara ajaib.
